Lobster, Laughs and Great Photography!

Bar Harbor, Maine - Fall Colors - Hasselblad Workshop

Now that the 2011 holiday season is over and I have officially hung up my elf hat until next year, I have time to post on my neglected blog.

Mid October 2011 we (Peter Lorber, Addie and myself) held another fantastic Hasselblad photography workshop, this time in Bar Harbor, Maine. When we arrived in Bar Harbor the leaves were still green. The attendees weren't set to arrive for two more days and Peter kept looking at the trees and promising "Two more days, the leaves will change in two more days". Sure enough he was right and the colors of fall started to appear! We had a great group including a familiar face from Trinidad & Tobago. We had some beautiful weather and some foggy misty days which made for some moody images. Lots of lobster, laughs and great photography!

Colorado 2011 Part 4 - Flowers

"Mommy are you shooting "fish in a bucket" again?"
Sometimes you just have to, cliché, trite, cheesy, but still pretty.

Colorado 2011 Part 3 - The Fox

One of the coolest things about visiting my sister up in the mountains of Colorado was, the fox. Every day just before dusk this cute little fox would come down and look for some food. She was so beautiful, delicate, gentle, she ate right out of your hand. The first night my sister showed my daughter how to feed her, keeping her hand flat and fingers together. Every night after that she would wait and when that little fox showed up, Cam would light up. Feeding this fox was not only the highlight of her trip, but the thrill of a lifetime. Colorado 2011 Part 2 - Dillon Lake/Vail

Vail, CO

Dillon Lake, Co
We took trip over the mountains to spend the day in Vail. Wound up only spending a half an hour there, more than enough time. I did not like the town at all. Over priced touristy shops and restaurants. A place people go to be seen. Not my cup of tea. Went to Dillon Lake and had a nice picnic.

Colorado 2011 Part 1

I made my journey to Colorado for our yearly Sister, Niece, Aunt, Daughter, Mother reunion. Had the greatest time as always. My sister has been getting on my case to post some of the images, so here they are. I broke them up into a few groups. This first group are just some scenics. When I spend time with the family I try to focus more on them than my photography, so I would call these glorified snapshots.
